We use only A+ quality horsetail hair in our box springs, mattresses and toppers; not cattle mixes or low quality carpets with sprinkles of horsehair or other cheaper alternatives. Horse tail is the undisputed king of upholstery hair.

The frames of all our box spring bases are thick and high enough to cover up to the top, all materials and springs, to guarantee maximum stability. We use only pocket springs even in our box spring bases instead of the much cheaper un-pocketed Bonell springs. Our box springs are almost like frame beds by themselves!

A Catherine bed takes a bit more than 50 handcrafting hours. Even if it does not have stitching, the bed corner is straight and you will not have the sensation of rolling out of bed. We take enough care in each and every bed.

Sophia is built on the same basis and the best natural materials as all Pauly beds but does not contain horsehair in the mattress nor box spring base.
